Laser Hair Removal

How do I need to prepare myself for my hair removal session?
Shave the area to be treated 24 hrs before the session, this will help to reduce irritation and will make the hair size be ideal to conduct the laser’s energy to the hair’s papillae.
My hair is really blond, does this laser work for me?
Hair color (melanin) works as the conductor for the laser’s energy, that’s why this treatment does not work for grays or those blondes, almost white hairs. But if your hair is light brown our laser will work, nevertheless you will need more sessions to achieve the goal.
My skin is dark, is this treatment safe for me?
Of course, but because the laser’s light will be absorbed not only by the hair melanin buy by the skin melanin as well, we need to use less energy in order to avoid damage of your epidermis, so you will need more sessions to achieve the goal.
Is the treatment with the laser really painless?
We have the best technology, virtually painless. During the treatment we’ll encourage you to tell us if the heat is increasing to manage the cool and make your treatment an amazing and painless experience.
Is your laser device good for treating red hair colour?
Definitely not, red hair colour has a different melanin, instead of eumelanin it has pheomelanin that cannot absorb our laser’s light.
Can I apply deodorant before or after the treatment?
Please, come with the area clean without deodorant or cream. You cannot apply deodorant 24 hrs after the treatment to avoid skin irritation.
Do I need to avoid sun exposure before and after my treatment?
Avoid sun exposure on purpose for 4 days before and after the treatment and indirect sun exposure 3 to 4 weeks before and after. This means that during all your treatments, its best to avoid sun exposure.
My skin is tanned; can I have the treatment?
It is always best to perform the treatment when your skin colour returns to the normal tone, this will allow us use the best energy to get better results.
Which will be your recommendations after the treatment?
Do not use deodorants; do not expose to heat sources like, hot baths, hot tubes, saunas; do not use any substance like, retinol, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, etc., and do not exercise as well for 24 hrs.
How can I remove the hair between sessions?
Only shaving, because other methods will increase capillary circulation in your skin and promote hair growth.
How many treatments will I need to achieve a permanent hair reduction?
Every person needs are different, the number of treatments varies according to your skin colour and hair conditions like, density, colour and thickness. In average will be 8 to 10 sessions.
Do I see improvement after the first treatment?
After each treatment you will see 15 to 20 percent of hair reduction in average, this is because we are targeting only hairs in mature anagen stage or phase. (Hair growth has three stages, anagen, catagen and telogen; only in mature anagen stage the hair is in contact with the papillae, the one in charge of hair’s nourishment and the one we want to target) That’s why you need a series of treatments to reach a good hair reduction.
How often I can have a treatment?

Because we need to target hair in mature anagen stage ( Hair growth has three stages, anagen, catagen and telogen; only in mature anagen stage the hair is in contact with the papillae, which is the one in charge of hair’s nourishment and the one that we want to target) and we need to wait until more hair is in this stage. We need to wait 4 weeks for face; 6 weeks for neck, chest, back, underarms, arms, buttocks and bikini area; and 8 weeks for legs.

LASER TATTOO REMOVAL AND BLACK SPOT REMOVAL

How are tattoos removed?
Laser energy is directed at the tattoo area, targeting the tattoo ink; this energy fragments the ink, allowing your body to absorb it and break it down naturally
How many treatments will I need to remove my tattoo or my dark spot?
Light pigmentations such as freckles. Ag spots, and sun marks mat disappear after a single treatment. Most pigment may disappear after two treatments. Fading can continue even after many months as the immune system processes the target pigment. Tattoo removal can require multiple sessions, depending on many factors, especially the colour (s) used. Some tattoos require up to 12 treatments, with the tattoo fading after each treatment. Allow 4 to 8 weeks between treatments so that the immune system can rid the body of the pigment particles and the skin can heal from any side effect.
Is tattoo removal or dark spot removal extremely painful?
It can be for some individuals. The sensation can be described as like being snapped with an elastic band, or like spatter from hot oil. Many can tolerate the treatments, especially with simple numbing from the application of gel ice packs during the treatment. Some individuals prefer the use of a locally applied topical anaesthetic cream to relieve discomfort. Some areas of the body are more sensitive than others. Small sun spots usually do not require much preparatory desensitizing.
Can I use a numbing cream before my treatment?
I do not recommend use a numbing cream because we need to know your sensations during the treatment to avoid damage your skin.
Is Q-switch YAG laser treatment safe?
This is a safe an effective method for removing tattoos and age/ sun spots. It is performed by a qualified technician trained in the use of lasers. Special laser goggles are always worn by the patient and the technician to prevent possible aye damage by any dissipating radiation from the hand-piece.
What are the possible side effects from Q-Switch laser treatment?
Possible side effects include redness (erythema), edema, tissue carbonizing (temporary whitening), micro blood specks, bruising, blistering and possible crusting after the treatment. Blisters, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, and even scarring can also occur after the skin heals. This effects can be mild or severe. The treated skin becomes red immediately after the pulsing, becoming more prominent after few minutes. Depending on the type, micro blood specks and tissue carbonizing can also occur. These effects can last for a few hours or up to a week. However, they will diminish each day with proper after-care, which your technician will discuss with you.
Are there any pre-treatment procedures?
We will conduct a consultation with you and review the pretreatment procedures. Usually a “patch test” is conducted on a small area of skin before a full treatment performed, to observe how the patient skin reacts. If the pigment and the skin have reacted appropriately, a complete treatment can be done. The skin being treated must not be tanned. If the patient has a history of cold sores, an anti-viral medication must be prescribed by a physician; this must be started the day before the laser procedure and taken for a few days afterwards. Patients who have received Accutane treatment for acne may not have laser treatment for at least six months (and possibly one year) after stopping Accutane.
How long is each treatment?
The length varies depending on the size of the area being treated. A few age spots or a small tattoo may be treated in few minutes: a large tattoo may require 30 minutes or longer. It will also depend on the frequency settings; higher frequencies allow the work to be done more quickly. Sometimes if the patient is more sensitive, more preparation time is required to cool the skin so as to relieve discomfort.
How will I look after each treatment?
An antibiotic ointment and bandaging are applied immediately after the treatment. Redness, bruising, swelling, and pain in the tattoo area are common, from mild to severe, and can be present for up to a few weeks in some individuals. There can be blistering or scabbing as well, showing up 48 to 72 hours later. In about 20% of cases, a brownish discoloration (hyperpigmentation) can appear once the scan has fallen off. Normal pigmentation of the skin should be achieved within 2 to 5 months.
How do I take care of my skin after the Q-switch YAG laser treatment?
Patients are asked to use cold gel ice packs to reduce redness and swelling and to relieve discomfort, and to apply antibiotic ointment and a gauze bandage to the treated area for a few days or up to 2 weeks, until all lesions are healed. Avoid scratching the area. It is important to protect the treated skin from the sun using a sunscreen with a SPF of 30 or higher. The more care the client takes to look after the skin, the better it will heal.
Are tattoos completely removed with the Q-switch YAG laser?
Most tattoos are considerably diminished, and many are completely removed. Some areas may show a “shadow” of the former tattoo, which gradually clears. Some tattoo pigment colours are more easily removed than others: the lighter colours are more difficult to remove. Other factors also affecting the results include age, pigment type, and pigment depth.

What is the OxyGeneo technology?
OxyGeneo is an innovative technology for skin exfoliation (removal of dead skin cells from the skin surface), improving skin oxygen levels and infusion of essential nutrients to enrich the skin. The simultaneous skin exfoliation along with skin oxygenation optimizes the absorption of the valuable components in our nutrient-rich gels into the skin.
What is the duration of an OxyGeneo session?
Treatment duration is up to 30 minutes. It may be extended at times as your practitioner might combine additional products and treatments in the same session.
Is there down time after the OxyGeneo treatment?
No, You can resume your daily routine immediately after an OxyGeneo treatment and there is no need for special care. (We do advise to apply sunscreen to protect the skin)
How does the OxyGeneo feel?
An OxyGeneo™ session feels like a massage for the face. The exfoliation is described as very refreshing and comfortable. Many clients fall asleep and wake feeling rested and rejuvenated. Clients with sensitive skin may have a slight abrasive sensation during the session.
The session suitable for men too?
Is the session is suitable for women and men as both genders will benefit from the its outcome. (It is better if men do not shave on the day of the session).
What outcome can I expect from an OxyGeneo session?
After an OxyGeneo session your skin should feel smoother, fresher and look brighter with a more uniform tone. In addition you might notice a general improvement in skin texture and in fine lines appearance.

SCAR, WRINKLES AND STRETCH MARKS REMOVAL WITH MICRONEEDLING

What is Micro-needling?

Micro-needling is a treatment using very fine needles. Our device Dermastamp, is a medical device used in micro needling to break down old scar tissue and to stimulate skin cells to proliferate. This cell multiplication results in the formation of new tissue layers of elastin and collagen fibres (neo-collagenesis) as well as in new capillaries for an improved blood supply (neo-angiogenesis). The procedures are called Scar Reduction Therapy (SRT) & Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT).

What is the difference between micro-needling and other skin rejuvenation techniques?
In contrast to all ablative techniques, the micro-needling stimulates new tissue formation – it acts constructively and the skin remains intact. The skin does not get damaged (unlike other devices) and therefore will not go into a wound healing response. The micro=needling significantly improves atrophic scars & improves skin texture.
What effects does the micro-needling have on the skin?
The Dermastamp improves the thickness of the dermis as well as the epidermis. This in return improves skin texture and reduces wrinkles. It also has a positive effect on hyper-pigmentation as well as on hypo-pigmentation. Reduces disfiguring scars & acne scars, stimulates new collagen fibres, improves blood supply and harmonises pigmentation.
How is the micro-needling procedure performed & does it hurt?
The skin is cleaned and afterwards numbed with an appropriate numbing cream so it should not hurt at all. Skin is thoroughly needled in such a way, that each skin part is needled about 15 to 20 times. An even flushing is the best indication for a perfect medical performance.
Can the micro-neendling be performed on any skin colour?
Since micro-neendling does not use thermal heat (unlike IPL & Lasers) it is safe to use on all skin types and all skin colours. There is no risk of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
How often can the micro-needling procedure be repeated?
For Collagen Induction Therapy we recommend to start with 3 treatments, but with a minimum separation time of 6 to 8 weeks between treatments. For Scar Reduction Therapy an average of to 5 treatments are recommended, with an improvement of 70-80%. Unlike ablative procedures for facial skin only, the microneedling can be used on all skin parts of the body (neck, décolleté, arms, legs, etc).
What are the side effects of a micro-needling procedure?
There are virtually no negative side effects, and none have ever been reported in over 150,000 procedures performed worldwide.
Are there any risks of post-op infections?
Since the tiny pricking channels close within one hour, and provided the procedure is done under clinical conditions, post-op infections are very unlikely.
What is the down time after a micro-needling treatment?
The inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short and fades significantly within hours from redness to pinkish that may last for 24 hours on average. In order to reduce visible redness, we recommend healing minerals, peptides and hyaluronic acid after the procedure, and to protect the skin with zinc based sun screen. We also recommend the use of mineral makeup to help with the healing.
What should I avoid using on my skin?
To ensure the right healing environment, for 2-3 days avoid the use of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (for example – Glycolic Acid), Retinol, acidic or “active” ingredients.
What should I use on my skin after the micro-needling treatment?
An Anti-Inflammatory Cleanser to soothe, Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate, Copper and Silver to help heal, Zinc to help heal but also to protect.
What is a homecare Dermaroller?
The Home Care Dermaroller have very short, fine needles, not more than 0.2 mm. The Home Care Dermaroller serves the following purposes: 1 a) To enhance active substance through the skin barrier(stratum corneum) 2 b) To improve and support results after and in between CIT treatments by: stimulating epidermal cells for proliferation that results in a faster renewal cycle of the epidermis and thickens the epidermal cell layers. The Home Care Dermaroller will not stimulate collagen, but it helps to maintain a beautiful skin.
Does the micro-neendling have the same effect like Fractional Laser Therapy?
Yes, but the mechanism of action of a Fractional Laser is totally different. The laser beam sets a burn wound that results in necrosis. After an inflammatory process the necrosis transforms into fibrotic tissue in forms of micro scars. Nerve cells are “melted” by the hot laser beam, therefore the treatment is relatively painful. As the doctor cannot see the previous set scars under the epidermis in a follow-up treatment, it is extreme difficult for them to set an even scar pattern. This is the reason why more treatments are required than initially anticipated. But overall, as reported in clinical trials and besides costly investment in lasers, both therapies have about the same results for facial treatments.

DARK SPOT LASER REMOVAL

What causes pigmented lesions?
Pigmented lesions, birthmarks, brown spots, and age spots are created from an excessive concentration of melanin in the skin. Melanin is what gives our skin its color. Everyone has a different amount of melanin. Your physician will evaluate your skin and inform you of the specific type of skin lesion. High melanin concentrations can be caused by various factors. Some types a represent at birth, but most occur with age or from overexposure to the sun’s damaging rays.
Which pigmented lesions can be treated with laser?
The most commonly treated conditions are solar lentigines (also known as age spots, liver spots or sun spots), café au lait birthmarks, and freckles. These benign pigmented lesions are caused by excess pigment in the skin, usually from sunlight exposure and congenital factors. Age spots may appear as enlarged light freckles on the face and hands. Café au lait birthmarks may appear as light brown markings anywhere on the body and can be quite large.
What are the alternatives to the procedure?
Pigmented lesions and age spots are cosmetic problems that do not require treatment for medical reasons. Topical therapies include tretinoin (Retin-A), topical vitamin C or fade creams. Topical therapies are an option, but results are unpredictable and response times can be 6 months or more for improvement.Makeup is also an option. Cryotherapy can improve pigmented lesions, but often leaves white unpigmented areas or small scars.
Are the results permanent?
Most pigmented lesions, if completely removed, will not return. At times, however, sun exposure may cause café au lait spots to return. Permanence cannot be guaranteed. You will also continue to develop more age spots and freckles with time, and the appearance of these new lesions should not be confused with recurrence.
Pigment: are there any side effects to treatment?
There is a high possibility of hair removal in the treatment area caused by uptake of light by melanin in the hair. Skin becoming darker immediately after treatment is a normal reaction. Crusting of the lesion can be expected, but will clear 1 – 2 weeks after treatment. In rare cases, temporary skin pigment changes may occur, but most patients experience fewer problems than they would after laser treatment.
How many treatments are required?
The number of treatments depends on the lesion being treated. Solar lentigines require 1 – 3 treatments whereas café au lait spots take up to 12 treatments. The recommended treatment interval is 1 month.
Is any post-treatment care necessary?
Patients with sensitive skin may benefit from a single application of glucocorticoid cream immediately after treatment and antiseptic cream (chlorhexidine 1%) for a few days. Patients should avoid sun for a month or so after treatment and should use a sunscreen (SPF 30) in this period.
Which lesions can be treated?
The laser is efficient in treatment of epidermal lesions such as solar lentigines, sun spots, age spots, and café au lait spots. It is extremely important to ensure that the lesion is benign, and to take specialist advice from a dermatologist if unsure.

LASER SKIN REJUVENATION

How many treatments will be needed?

You will have an initial series of five treatments about 2 to 3 weeks apart. Afterward, other follow‐up treatments may be recommended (patients  may desire more, after seeing positive benefits). Often patients have follow‐up treatments at six‐month intervals to maintain a more youthful appearance. Clinical studies suggest regular touch-up treatments help sustain continued growth of new collagen. High melanin concentrations can be caused by various factors. Some types arepresent at birth, but most occur with age or from overexposure to the sun’s damaging rays.

How long do treatments last?
Treatments usually take from 20 to 30 minutes.
Who are the best candidates for skin rejuvenation?
Candidates usually have wrinkles and fine lines, red, flushed faces, fine blood vessels, sun‐damaged skin, hyper-pigmentation including age spots, melasma, or enlarged pores.
Are laser light photo rejuvenation treatments safe?
Yes. Advanced light systems have been used safely for millions of treatments worldwide. They treat only targeted areas, leaving surrounding tissues intact. In rare instances, bruising, blistering, scarring, and pigmentary disorders can occur with either hypo-or hyperpigmentation. No one can guarantee that no adverse reactions will occur, but the vast majority of patients experience little or no adverse reaction.
What does the procedure do?
Laser skin rejuvenation treatment uses lasers or light sources to rejuvenate your skin from the inside out. There are no chemicals or long recovery times, just younger-looking skin.
How does the laser skin rejuvenation procedure work?
Skin rejuvenation combines a cooling cryogen spray with a laser to give you optimal results with minimal inconvenience. The protective cooling spray is applied to the skin, allowing laser skin rejuvenation light to pass harmlessly through the upper layers of your skin, stimulating the cells deep below the surface that produce natural collagen. Collagen and elastin fibers multiply after your treatment, so you see improved results over the months ahead.
How is laser skin rejuvenation different from other anti‐aging treatments?
Your skin is not subjected to harsh chemicals or the intense after‐care of other procedures. Patented technology protects the sensitive surface layers of your skin, allowing the laser to penetrate to a deeper level and stimulate new collagen growth.
Is the procedure painful?
Laser skin rejuvenation treatment can be performed on any facial area – around the eyes, mouth, cheeks, chin ‐ with minimal discomfort. A topical anesthetic cream can be used on extra sensitive areas, but no injections are needed.
How long does a treatment take?
The procedure takes between 15 and 30 minutes, with rarely any side effects. Makeup may be applied right away, so many patients come for treatment during lunch hour.
Can it be combined with other procedures?
Absolutely, laser skin rejuvenation is an ideal complement to microdermabrasion, BOTOX®, and filler agents.
How long will it take to heal?
One of the most outstanding features of laser skin rejuvenation is virtually no downtime. After a session, the area may appear red for up to an hour. However, makeup can be applied immediately afterward. Since there is no wound, there is no healing time.

IPL VASCULAR LESION REMOVAL AND ROSACEA TREATMENT

How can IPL help me?
Intense Pulsed Light can provide a long term solution to facial problems such as red flushing (Rosacea), thread veins and red spots as well as unsightly leg veins, with minimal downtime or risk in just a few quick and easy treatments.
How does the treatment work?
Intense Pulsed Light emits light which is readily absorbed by blood vessels, heating them to a point where they are destroyed. Following treatment, the vessels quickly clear as they are reabsorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the original lesion. Which types of veins can be treated? Most red skin lesions including facial thread veins, rosacea, spider naevi, port wine stains are treated with Intense Pulsed Light.
Am I suitable for treatment?
Treatment is suitable for most people, however, best results are obtained for those with fair skin, and there is less chance of side effects. The best response is seen with facial thread veins, spider naevi and rosacea.
Are there any side effects?
After treatment the area may feel warm for a few hours. Rarely some delicate skin areas such as the cheeks or décolleté can be red and slightly swollen for up to 48 hours. Though very rare, there is a chance a small blister may form and there could be temporary lightening or darkening of the skin.
How long does each treatment take?
Treatments typically take from 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the type and size of lesion.
How many treatments are necessary?
Typically 3 to 5 treatments are needed for maximum results, though small lesions may clear in just a single session. Repeat treatments are spaced every 4 to 6 weeks.

LED ACNE TREATMENT

What is LED therapy?

Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology is the application of light energy to the body for therapeutic benefits. It promotes a natural photobiochemical reaction similar to the process of plant photosynthesis. The energy delivered by the LEDs has been shown to enhance cellular metabolism, accelerate the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells, as well as stimulate the production of collagen — the foundation of healthy, smooth skin. Research has shown that LED light therapy may help smooth skin texture, improve skin firmness and resilience, increase lymphatic system activity, restore skin’s natural cellular activity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and superficial hyperpigmentation. The treatment is for all skin types, and is non-ablative, non-invasive, painless, and requires absolutely no downtime. Patients can return to their normal activity immediately after the treatment.

For what purpose is LED therapy used?
Based on extensive research, LED devices have been cleared by the FDA, and shown to manage:
  • Mild to moderate acne vulgaris
  • Superficial, benign vascular and pigment lesions
  • Periorbital wrinkles and rhytides
Why is LED therapy good for acne treatment?
Let’s clarify: When P. acne bacteria builds up in pores, skin becomes inflamed, causing acne lesions and blemishes. LED therapy works safely and effectively, without abrasive chemicals, harmful UV-rays or side effects, to destroy this acne-causing bacteria — not only clearing up existing blemishes, but preventing future breakouts before they happen. In just minutes a day, you’ll be on your way to a clearer, smoother, more radiant complexion.
Are there any harmful side effects to low-level light therapy?
LED devices are considered extremely low risk when used as intended.
Does LED therapy hurt?
No. LED therapy is non-invasive and is painless.
How safe is Biophotonic therapy?
Light emitting diode (LED) technology was developed for NASA-manned space flight experiments. In comparison to lasers, the patented LED technology generates negligible amounts of heat and is not considered a significant risk device.
Does LED therapy utilize UV light?
No, LED devices utilize a combination of blue, red, and infrared (not visible to the naked eye) light emitting diodes (LEDs) only.
How long does a LED therapy session last?
Thirty minutes.
Are there any special preparations required before using LED therapy?
LED should be in close proximity to the area being treated. Skin should also be free of clothing, makeup, or anything else that may deflect light away from the skin.
Why do I need to remove my makeup?
Many makeup formulas contain minerals that may deflect light. Clean, freshly washed skin is recommended for best results.
Can I apply makeup after a LED therapy session?
Yes. You may resume all normal activities immediately following use.

ULTRASOUND AND RADIOFREQUENCY FOR FAT AND CELLULITE REDUCTION

When can I expect to see results?

The majority of patients are able to see visible results difference immediately after the first treatment, nevertheless improvement will continue. However, in order to achieve long-term results, you will need to undergo several treatment sessions.

How many sessions do I need in order to achieve long-term desired results?
Long-term results vary depending on the area to be treated and the desired result. In general, you will need to undergo between 4 and 8 treatments on average. The number of treatments sessions is determined according to your specific needs by the aesthetic professional. In order to sustain the results, it is important to maintain a lifestyle that includes a healthy diet and exercise.
Can I undergo more than one session per week?
It is recommended to undergo no more than one ultrasound and radiofrequency treatment per week to obtain optimal results. Collagen production and fat metabolism are processes that take time; therefore, a complete ultrasound and radio frequency treatment should be scheduled over several few weeks with an interval of one week between sessions.
What does an Ultrasound and Radiofrequency treatments feel like?
Ultrasound is completely painless you will only experience some pressure. A radio frequency treatment feels like a warm massage. It is pleasant and pain-free. In some cases when we select the muscle contraction mode you will fell this contraction without pain. Some patients even report falling asleep during treatments. The treatment lasts an average of between 40 and 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.
What do I do in order to maintain the results?
In order to maintain the results, it is important to maintain a lifestyle of healthy diet and exercise. In addition, it is recommended to undergo maintenance treatments every 4 to 8 weeks to prolong and enhance the results.
Do Ultrasound and Radiofrequency treatments work on all skin colors?
Both treatments are suitable for all skin colors, including dark and pigmented skin. The treatment is based on. Unlike lasers or other optical energy-based devices, Ultrasound and RF are “color blind” meaning that it has no affinity to skin pigmentation, such as melanin or hemoglobin.
How do Ultrasound and Radiofrequency work?
The ultrasound technology generates a patented shear wave form sound wave that selectively destroys fat cells without damage to the skin; Radio Frequency energy produces heat in the target area destroying fat cells and at the same time promotes collagen fibers synthesis to tight skin.
How do I know if Ultrasound and Radiofrequency treatments are right for me?
In general, if you are healthy, then you are a suitable candidate for ultrasound and radio frequency treatments. There are a very few specific treatment contraindications such as: pregnancy, superficial metal implants in the treatment areas, and a pacemaker. Your aesthetic professional will confirm your suitability after taking a brief medical history. .
Can I continue my normal routine immediately after treatment sessions?
Yes, you can immediately return to your daily routine. It is a “walk-in, walk-out” procedure with no downtime. .
Are Ultrasound and Radiofrequency treatments suitable for women after pregnancy?
Both treatments are suitable for women who are post-pregnancy for circumference reduction and tightening of loose skin. However, it is recommended to start the treatment only between 1 and 3 months after delivery, in accordance with each individual’s post-partum recovery. .

CHEMICAL PEELS

How do I know which peel is right for me?

You need to determine what you are considering the peel for. Is it for acne, age spots, hyperpigmentation, or maybe just to maintain a healthy youthful appearance. There are different types of active ingredients in peels that have properties that may be more beneficial to certain skin conditions or blemishes and it is important to know what you are looking to achieve with the peel. For example, salicylic peels are going to be better for oily skin and acne prone skin types, while glycolic are going to be more effective for age spots, wrinkles and fine lines etc.

Can I tolerate a chemical peel?
We always start off with a lower strength and less aggressive peel, in this way you will always tolerate this treatment.
What kind of results can I expect to get out of a chemical peel?
A superficial peel only slightly reduces the signs of aging and skin damage and the results are minimal unless used in cycles on a consistent basis. This way is generally the safer approach to take because you have less downtime and more peels can be used in a shorter amount of time. Typically it takes a few peels to start noticing a difference in blemishes. After one peel you should notice a difference in the texture and smoothness of your skin. It will feel much more refreshed after shedding the old dead skin cells off. One thing to remember is always be patient when using a chemical peel, many expect to see miracles in just one peel. The best approach is to take is slower and start with a lower strength peel, then you can work your way up to applying it on a regular basis, with consistency you will see positive results. Results will vary from person to person, each person will always have a unique experience with each peel.
Do chemical peels hurt or are they painful when using?
In general, users only feel a mild stinging sensation during chemical peels. After the procedure, a mild pain reliever may be taken to relieve any discomfort, if necessary. This is uncommon and typically not needed if using a mild beginner’s peel. You may feel a slight stinging or mild burning sensation with each peel, this lets you know the peel is working on the surface and penetrating the epidermis, the sting or burn should not be painful.

EYELASH EXTENSIONS

What Are Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The single strands are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.
How long will a set of Eyelash Extensions last?
When applied by one of our professionals, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks.
Are Amazing Lashes safe?
We only use professional grade adhesive which never comes in contact with your skin. Synthetic eyelashes adhere about 1mm away from your skin.
Can I apply mascara to Eyelash Extensions?
Our eyelash extensions are designed to give your natural lashes an improved look of fullness so mascara is not needed. However, we do offer a water-based mascara in each of our Amazing Lash Studios for those who feel the need especially nearing time for the next refill.
Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing Eyelash Extensions?
We do ask you to minimize the chance of wetting the extensions for the first 48 hours of wear. After that 48-hour period, the adhesive used to apply your eyelash extensions is secure enough to allow you to get right back to your routine. However, keeping away from extensive contact with steam such as in saunas or certain facials is recommended since it can begin to loosen the bond.
How soon can I wash my face after the extensions are applied?
The suggested time frame is 48 hours. For a guest with sensitivities, it is suggested to wash within the first 12 hours of application.
How do I dry my Eyelash Extensions?
After cleansing your eyelashes, brush your extensions with a clean mascara wand and use a lint-free cloth to gently apply pressure to the top of your extensions while keeping your eyes closed. Using the fan to lightly blow air onto your extensions dries them in no time and helps to keep the shape! After fanning, don’t forget to brush again with a clean mascara wand.
How do I take care of my new Eyelash Extensions?
  • Avoid getting lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours
  • Avoid hot steam or sauna
  • Do not perm eyelashes or manually curl.
  • Brush with a clean mascara wand daily.
  • TIP: Sometimes mornings are a mess! Try washing your lashes in the morning and gently brushing the top side of the extensions with a finger placed beneath. If too much tugging is noticed, a quick stop at your local studio may be necessary to help separate these extensions.
Is the product FDA approved? Is it safe?
Currently, the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions because the eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free. Some clients consider the process relaxing and even sleep through the appointment.
How long will it take to apply Eyelash Extensions and how is it done?
The application process for lash extensions normally takes about 90-120 minutes for a full set of lashes and 45-60 minutes for a refill. You will lay comfortably on a massage table with your eyes closed while relaxing ambient music is played in the background. During application, your lower lashes will be covered and the extensions will be applied only to your upper lashes one at a time.
What happens if I choose to have my Eyelash Extensions removed?
We do offer a service to have the extensions removed involving a short thirty-minute appointment in which we apply a gel remover. The gel remover is applied on top of the extensions without touching the skin and allowed to sit for 10 minutes. Once the adhesive is dissolved the extensions are gently wiped away with lint free applicators exposing the natural lashes.
